Carfax Logo - Design

Carfax, Inc. is a commercial web-based service that supplies vehicle history reports to individuals and businesses on used cars and light trucks for the American and Canadian marketplaces. Its one of the best ways to determine the history of a car before purchasing a used-car. Recently, I have been seeing Carfax ads on the television and I found the logo to be very simple and effective. The logo is a simple arrangement of the letter C A R F A X in the form on an odometer with the X shown half-way down.

Papyrus Logo

Papyrus is a company in the US that sells products such as greeting cards, paper, bags, note cards, journals etc. Payprus stores can be found in quite a few malls in the United States. They have about 150 stores at this point. I purchase greetings from this store once in a while and they have a small note with every card telling the reason they chose to use the Hummingbird in their logo.

The note says

"Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration.  Hummingbirds open our eyes to the wonder of the world and inspire us to open our hearts to loved ones and friends.  Like a hummingbird, we aspire to hover and to savor each moment as it passes, embrace all that life has to offer and to celebrate the joy of everyday.  The hummingbird€™s delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life€™s sweetest creation. "

The First Years Logo

 Image

Being a parent, I was intrigued by the logo of the baby and child products company "The First Years". I see their products in the stores all the time. Their logo represents the three stages of a babies life to which the company's products dedicate themselves. The laying down baby is a newborn, the sitting up baby is an infant and the standing baby a toddler.
