India Post Logo - Design and History
India Post, India's Department of Post, is a government operated postal system in India; it is generally referred to within India as "the post office". The Indian Postal Service, with 155,333 post offices, is the most widely distributed post office system in the world (China is next, with 57,000). The large numbers are a result of a long tradition of many disparate postal systems which were unified in the Indian Union post-Independence. Owing to this far-flung reach and its presence in remote areas, the Indian postal service is also involved in other services such as small savings banking and financial services. |
St. Louis Rams Logo - Design and History
The St. Louis Rams are a professional American football team based in St. Louis, Missouri. The team began in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams and existed in Cleveland until 1945 after which they moved to Los Angeles as the Los Angeles Rams. In 1995, the club moved to its current home in St Louis. The team name, Rams, comes from the nickname of Fordham University. The name Rams was selected to honor the hard work of the players that came out of that University. The logo features the head of a Ram in team colors of blue and gold. The Rams were the first team to add a logo on their helmet. Their half-back Fred Gehrke painted the Ram horns on the team's helmets in 1948 and it has been on the helmet ever since. The horns were painted in Gold. |
The original team colors were red and black but they switched to yellow and blue in 1938 and after a couple of changes between 1938 and 1973, the team selected its current colors or blue and gold. In 2000, the team made some color changes and uniform changes as well.
Walmart Logo Parody
Walmart is also considered to be another evil empire just like Microsoft. People oppose Walmart because whenever Walmart moves into an area, most of the small businesses have to close as well. Also, there is a general belief that Walmart employs illegal aliens. Whatever the case may be there are plenty of haters out there. Here is one of the logo parodies of Walmart.
The Walmart Logo says "Always Low Prices" with "Always" in Red below. This one makes fun of that tag line with the text "Consumerism Destroys" "Always"

HMV Logo - Trademark Design and Origin
His Master's Voice, today usually abbreviated to HMV, is a famous trademark in the music business, and for many years was the name of a large record label. The name was coined in 1899 as the title of a painting of the Jack Russell Terrier dog Nipper listening to a wind-up gramophone. In the original painting, the dog was listening to a cylinder phonograph. |
The famous trademark image comes from a painting by English artist Francis Barraud, A.R.A. and titled His Master's Voice. It was acquired from the artist in 1899 by the newly-formed Gramophone Company. According to contemporary Gramophone Company publicity material, the dog, a fox terrier called Nipper, had originally belonged to Barraud's brother Mark. When Mark Barraud died, Francis inherited Nipper, along with a cylinder phonograph and a number of recordings of Mark's voice. Francis noted the peculiar interest that the dog took in the recorded voice of his late master emanating from the trumpet, and conceived the idea of committing the scene to canvas.
